Many a times, we tend to get lost in what we do not have and forget what we have. God has certainly blessed each of us richly and abundantly, more than we could ever ask or imagine, it’s just that the things that He has given us are so easily taken for granted that we do not stop and give thanks for all the goodness in our lives. Therefore Heavenly Father, in response to your prompting, I want to take this opportunity to give thanks to you for 10 things that You have done in my life.
- Thank you for giving me, my wife and my family good health to enjoy all the beauty that You have created around us.
- Thank you for blessing us with all the things we need in our life like a comfortable home, more than enough food to eat and the ability to enjoy the luxuries and pleasures of life. I know that there are millions who do not have at least one of the these things and truly thank you for giving me all these 3 things.
- Thank you for an incredible wife and marriage and I could not have imagined it to be any better than this.
- Thank you for leading me in the direction I should go for my business and career. Though many things are still uncertain, I feel secure that You will continue to open the right doors and prosper all that I do.
- Thank you for answering one of my most pressing prayers lately and I know that it has come from You.
- Thank you for an extremely successful LASIK operation with absolutely no side-effects and perfect restoration of my vision on both eyes. It could not have gone any better.
- Thank you for blessing me with gifts of music that I can use to serve You. I would never have thought I had these gifts if You had not placed certain people and opportunities in my life for me to pick it up and truly I see how You have been working all along.
- Thank you for blessing me in my job despite times when I know I could have done better. Help me to continue to be a good testimony for you there.
- Thank you for wonderful parents and parents-in-law who have always supported me and given me love and care and a home that is always filled with love. I know that I’m truly blessed in this aspect.
- Thank you for continuing to use me despite all my failings.
Wow, that took longer than I thought. Isn’t it strange that we sometimes need to think so hard just to remember 10 things that God has done in our lives? How about you? Can you think of 10 things to give thanks to God for? If you are a blogger, go ahead and write it down as a new post. If you are not, take a piece of paper and jot it down. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
